First Birthday Party

Regan's big day to celebrate with others...

She wanted to make sure she was lookin' good!
Even Taytum dressed up for the occassion!
The set up... I did dinosaur egg cupcakes. Our theme was dinosaurs because ever since Regan was little she's made this cute little sound...Rob has always called her our little pterodactyl...so we took it and ran with it! What do you think?
I was afraid the eggs would be though of as 'easter' eggs (Easter was the next day), so I made sure to add a few other dinosaurs to the set up!
Once the people arrived Regan was a little unsure what to do...
...but it didn't take long for our little socialite to get involved. Here she is with one of her cousins and a few of the girls from one of the soccer teams that I coach. They all had a blast checking out the 'new' toys in the house.
Presents are always fun!
This one is perfect and Regan loved it...though I'm not sure she's ever gonna stay still long enough to ride it too much! And do you think she'll ever grow enough for her feet to touch the ground?
There's that candle again!

Regan didn't get as much into her cupcake at her party as she did on her birthday, but she still had fun!
I think it was a 'rough' day for Regan. She didn't take a nap and then wouldn't eat much for lunch and soon after that people came over. Everything kept her busy and she ran on fumes for most of the day. She didn't even take a nap until almost 4:00!! Crazy! But what the heck, you only have a first birthday once, right?
Happy Birthday to our little Pterodactyl!

Regan's Birthday

Ahhh...the joys of a first birthday...

Here she comes to check out the mountain of toys we brought up from the basement for her to enjoy as 'presents' for her big day! Sounds bad, but we have a TON of toys!! :o)

And as you can see, she never knew the difference!

I think due to teething, this little bird seemed to be the hit of the bunch!

We sang and tried to keep her fingers away from the candle...

Regan wasn't really sure what to do at first, so I gave her a little taste of the frosting...

Then she started to get into it herself...
And even let Mommy have a taste!
NOW she's got it figured out!!!

You want some?

St. Patty's Day

Here are a few pics on one of our favorite days of the year!
Check out Taytum's t-shirt! I LOVE it!!
Regan was not very cooperative for a picture with her sister! Here's the best one I got!
Daddy getting love from his 3 girls...

Feeding

On most days Taytum enjoys helping me out with Regan. Here is a day I let Taytum brave feeding Regan breakfast while I fixed the bottle. Not a bad job!

And then after breakfast the two girls enjoyed some sister time together.

This is from another day, but I liked the picture so here it is...Regan loves to stand at the bay window and look outside. This is something that Taytum did day after day when she was little as well. It's fun to see the girls do it together.

They Say the Cutest Things!

Ok, so I'm totally stealing this idea from another fellow blogger...the cute things your kids say...

One thing Taytum said today that I want to remember and I want to remember to tell her... I had both of the girls out and about and we stopped at Bread Co. for lunch. Taytum was loving on Regan, sharing her food with her and such and she put her arm around Regan and said, "We'll always be best friends!" It was so cute...and I hope it always rings true!! :o)

As Taytum and I are making cupcakes for her sister's 1st birthday, she says to me, "Isn't making cupcakes together so much fun?"

Here are some other things Taytum has been caught saying...

"Want to ballerina with me?"

"Ready Gladiator?"

"Mommy, I have some Mountain Dew in my kitchen...would you like some?"

"hugiankiss" (hu-gI-en-kiss) -- when something is really, really, really, really big

"Hey Mom, you know that Strawberry Shortcake movie that we don't know the name of? How about if we call it 'Strawberrry Shortcake Cinderella Costume Blueberry Muffin Dress Up Movie. Is that a good name?"... all said while she watched herself talk and make dramatic faces in the mirror!!!

REGAN-isms...

Regan is a girl of very few words, but who can blame her when she's got a 4 year old sister to do her talking for her!!! But here are some things she DOES say...

'dog'...though she prefers to bark!

'duck'

'oooooooooo'...this means a few things...shoes? cold?

'eeeeezsszz'...this either means cheese or bug! ha ha ha!

'wabuh-buh-buh'... strawberry! too cute!

'da da'... this is one of her absolute favorites!!!

'na na'...most of the time this means.. i want my milk... but it has also been known to mean... i want to get down! :o)

That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there will be more! Aren't they funny?

A Trip to Texas

We took a trip to Texas to visit Rob's parents and sister. We had such a good time. The weather was nice and it was even nicer to visit family. Taytum keeps asking when we're going back!
Here is Regan with Nana and Pops.
We love to visit Gatti Town in TX! Here is our princess being all made up!

A ride on the carousel...Regan's first!
Daddy's princess!!!
The priceless smile!

We stayed at Rob's sister's house. They have 2 little boys...2 yr old and 7 month old. Chaotic to say the least! There was lots of room to run around like wild banshies!
Even Regan was in the middle of it all!A girl on the move!
Where Taytum was...Hunter was!
They'll cringe at this later!!! :o)

Uhhhhh?????
A kiss between cousins!
Here's Uncle Mark poisining poor Regan's mind...no longhorns in our house...sorry!
