December 2009 Card Pictures

Now that the tree has been decorated, its time to try to get all three girls together, happy and smiling, in front of the tree.  All together.  All happy.  All smiling.  Anyone got any miracles in their pockets?  We all know the chances of all three girls smiling and looking at the camera are very slim.  So I just took about a bazillion pictures.  Surely I'd get one, right?  I am posting all the pics...its just fun to see what they do because they are all so giddy!...

First Tay and Regs in front of the tree...just themselves so I can try to make sure the lighting is all OK...

So, Kirby wakes up and we try putting her with her sisters...

 Regan, as you can see, has the attention span of a gnat!  Getting her to look at the camera even ONCE is a chore!!!

 I keep wondering WHAT Regan is looking at???  Then I remembered that Rob was standing behind me trying to help by being goofy and getting the girls to smile...

 I'm not sure I can get all three with expressions that I am happy with, so here's another idea...let's shoot pictures of them by themselves... (I think this first one was the one we chose of Kirby for the card)

This one cracks me up!!!  What's with the eyes???

 Regan has patience for only ONE shot... (so this one was the winner for Regan on the card!)

 Taytum will always pose for the camera.  She's a beaut!

 And at the end of the shoot, Regan feels like she's 'big' enough to hold her little sister...

 Right.  That worked out, Regan...

December 2009 Kirby and the Tree

So, Kirby wakes up and wants to know, "What in the HECK is this thing?"

And just what are those pretty, shiny things?

 Surely I can touch one?

 And WOW!...I can see myself in this round, shiny thing!

 Look, there I am, right there....!

 If...only...I...could...grab...it...

 AH-HA!!!!

(post of pictures ends abruptly as Mom drops the camera to save baby, tree and ornament! Ha ha ha ha!)

December 2009 Tree Decorating

Everyone is anxiously awaiting tree decorating time!!!

 Even Kirby can feel the excitement!!!

 The dogs, however....tree?  what tree??

 You go ahead, we need to nap!

First comes the tree in Taytum's room.  Regan wants one too, but she has to wait until she's three.  But then again, we aren't very good at taking the decorations DOWN, so maybe another tree isn't such a good idea? HA!

Then we move downstairs.  Rob is so good and patient with the girls.  And its so fun when they are so into it for the first time, like Regan was this year.  Last year she was too little, so we decorated the tree while she napped.  This year she got to help!

She wants to put this one up but can't quite reach...

Dad to the rescue!

"I can't reach!" she whines!

Once again Dad swoops in to take care of things and everyone is all smiles!

Tay particularly likes this one...

 And Regan loves the hockey penguins...

Dad puts on the finishing touches because no one else in the family can reach the to the top of the tree!!

Thanks to Dad, we're all getting into the Christmas spirit...
